We have a lot of self-awareness, but we don’t always have a lot of self-awareness. We may be focused on a task and not fully aware of our surroundings. The goal of our work/life balance is to keep our focus on what we do and not on what we dont. We will find ourselves putting a lot of emphasis on doing tasks and not noticing when were not doing our best work. We may be in a rush and miss our mark. The best way to avoid this is to not let our focus on tasks take over our lives.

We need to remind ourselves that we are not in the work-life trade, and that we are in the business of being a better person. Our work is one of the three most important aspects of our lives. We have to get to the point where we can get stuff done, and it should be fun.
