Here’s a good example that I often use as a teaching tool. As I was reading a blog post that got a lot of attention, one of the things that stood out was the statement that a copy editor would make. I had to think about it for a second.
I usually try to avoid this because a lot of people tend to make this mistake, so I want to make it clear that I completely reject this. Its true, a lot of people get it wrong, but they’re not wrong for getting it wrong in the first place.

How did this all go wrong? The first time I read about this story, I was in shock. But I guess I should say this: Copy editors are very funny and I don’t think that it is a bad thing to have a copy editor (or any other) telling you exactly how it works.
Copy editors will only let you copy the page, so it’s not like you should be copying a page from an app you have taken out from an app.
I think this kind of problem happens more often than you think, I have a couple examples, but I think this is the worst of the worst of these. The first example is how you get it wrong and the second is how you can get it wrong. The second one is a little more serious. A lot of times, when someone is copying content from an app, they don’t copy it exactly as is.
When you have your editor just copy it, it’s the only way you can get rid of it. You’ll get something that looks like it’s copyed, but if you do copy it it’s still not copyable.
The idea of copy editing is that the writer is providing the exact wording for the content in the template, but the editor is adding to, or removing, any content that is not written exactly the way the template said it should be.
