The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.

I’m sure there are some things that we think and do that we don’t actually have control over. It becomes a problem when we lose control of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions.
The problem with auto-pilot behaviors is that they are often unaware of our behaviors and reactions. For example, we tend to think that we would have to stop and think about every time we start or drive if we were in a car. But, we don’t. If we had to stop and think about every time we drive, then we wouldn’t have any drive to begin with. The solution, of course, is learning to have control over our own behaviors.
This would be the most likely solution. The same cannot be said for our behavior patterns. For example, if we were driving to work or school, we wouldnt want to drive to work or school. But, if we are driving to school, we wouldnt want to drive to school. We would probably like to stop and think about every time we stop and think about every time we drive.
Now in the same vein, our behaviors, habits, and routines can be a problem, especially if they don’t change. For example, if we were to suddenly stop on the way to work and park and think about it. Or if we went to the grocery store and didn’t buy anything, but didn’t have a plan to return home until we got there. Or if we were to suddenly decide to stop and think about buying a drink, but never got the message.
We’ve all been there. We can get so caught up in our own minds and routines that we forget to be present in the moment. Like, when we’re driving to the grocery store, we suddenly decide to stop and think about it. Or when we go to the grocery store, we decide to stop and think about it, but it doesn’t take much. Like, when you’re in a car, you’re still in the car.
We’ve all been there. We know how easy it is, but we have a few tricks to make it more difficult and even dangerous. For example, we can become so involved in our mind and routine that we stop and think about the grocery store and not the groceries. The grocery store is a place where we can go shopping without thinking about it. When, instead, we stop in to the grocery store and think about buying groceries, we might be doing it wrong.
The grocery store is actually a good place to stop and think about it because most of your grocery shopping is a mental process. It’s not a physical one, which is why most of your grocery shopping is mentally driven. After you stop and think about it, you’ll be buying a lot less groceries and you’ll be spending less money. You might even be buying the same things that you planned to buy.

That’s not to say there aren’t mental processes going on. But it’s not enough to stop you from buying groceries! You might be buying them for less money. Your budget might even be a little tighter. You might even be making more money. But you’re still buying groceries.
