While there are a lot of things that I love about this position of financial consultant, I do love the fact that it is one of the most demanding positions. I have worked in this position for over 3 years and have found that my main focus of the time is to make as much money as possible. I do not mean to generalize salary, but rather to say that in my career I have seen more than I can count the number of people who have been able to successfully negotiate the salary of an employee they are trying to hire. More importantly, the salary they give you has to reflect the value you bring to the company. If you are not bringing something valuable to the table, you will not be rewarded for your efforts with salary.

I am currently a Finance Consultant at a large corporation and the salary that I have been given is not reflective of what I bring to the table. Finance consultants are often a difficult group to hire because they have a lot of specialized skills that are hard to get in a company. Not only is it hard for these employees to get a good salary, but they also have a lot of other responsibilities that don’t make a lot of sense when you’re looking at a salary. For example, the company might not need a finance consultant, but they might need a project manager. Or maybe they need a project coordinator.
